The Pan American Plant Membrane Biology Workshop is held every three years to provide an opportunity for researchers in North and Latin America to present and discuss current topics in plant membrane biology. The workshop focuses on membrane structure, transport, protein trafficking, and signal transduction, as well as the techniques and approaches utilized in plant membrane studies. Sections are led by prominent researchers in the focus area with talks presented by postdocs, graduate students, and undergraduate researchers with extensive discussion periods following talks.

The first Workshop was held in 2003 in Cuernavaca, Mexico, the second in 2006 in South Padre, Texas, and the third in 2009, in puebla, Mexico, with participants attending from the United States, Canada, Mexico, and several other Latin American countries.

So mark your calendars for the fourth meeting May 16th-20th 2012
and we look forward to seeing you in Asilomar.
